Springfield IL Wedding at Home

Here are some of our favorites from Jessica and Chad’s wedding! It was such a glorious day in central Illinois! Jessica decided to have their wedding at her parents home near Springfield, IL in Girard, and we absolutely love it when our couples make that decision. There is such a personal, intimate feel to the day when the wedding is at home. Jessica and Chad do not live in the area anymore, so they had to do most of their planning from a distance…which always presents an interesting challenge. You would never know it by how everything looked, though. It was all spectacular! There is always the threat of bad weather when you are doing a wedding outside, but it was an absolutely perfect day. There were so many touching moments before and during the ceremony that it was a delight. After the ceremony was over, we did all of the photos right there on the grounds of the house!

For the reception, we went to the historic Inn at 835 in Springfield. It’s a gorgeous bed and breakfast with a reception hall attached, so it worked out wonderfully for all of the people traveling in. Before we went into the reception, we went inside up to the stairs and their room to do a few cool, creative shots.
